The Newcastle Falcons and Maitland Mustangs had a great run during the inaugural NBL1 East competition in 2022, and we can’t wait to see how the men and women go this year!

We still dare to dream bigger. More than just the NBL/WNBL arm of an existing NBL1 side, a club to unite the entire Hunter region — from the city to the valley, from the bay to the lake.

With some movement finally happening regarding the proposed Hunter Park development that promises to see the construction of a new world-class arena — it’s time to push for professional basketball to return to Newcastle. 

Expansion of the NBL and WNBL will occur eventually, and Newcastle should be ready as the next in line when they do.

This campaign is to build community interest and attract the attention of the league, potential sponsors and even prospective owners. Show that Novocastrians are ready for the NBL and WNBL to bring the game back to our town.
